Short Summary (English)
Agathopulus loves his luxurious life. He does not want to be bothered with helping to rebuild a destroyed city. Instead, he invents machines and rationalizes the work flow. Although he is celebrated as a hero against his will, he has to escape.

Short Summary (German)
Agathopulus liebt das Wohlleben und den Genuß. Es kostet ihn große Mühe, sich am Aufbau der zerstörten Stadt zu beteiligen. Um seine Ruhe zu haben, erfindet er Maschinen und rationalisiert damit Arbeitsprozesse. Er wird zum Helden wider Willen und muß sich schließlich wegen seiner Haltung davonmachen.
