DEFA film history is documented in a large photo collection. Film stills and production photos, as well as lobby cards from more than 700 DEFA feature films are archived. The stock includes photos of DEFA feature and documentary films from the first productions to German reunification, as well as from DEFA’s international co-productions and banned films. Please contact us if you would like to publish photos in academic articles or other publications.

Film Trailer
Since May 2013 you can watch trailers of DEFA films on YouTube, among others from the directors Heiner Carow , Konrad Wolf , Rainer Simon and many others. You can view the trailers on the YouTube channel of the DEFA Foundation and embed them in your own website using the code available there.
