Short Summary (English)
The Nörgel clan divides the labor and produce more hats than they need for themselves. As consequence, they look into an exchange of products at a market in Leipzig. However, Nörgel has to learn that animals might not be a good equivalent for a product trade, although they are needed by everyone. Part two of the animation trilogy Nörgel & Sons.

Short Summary (German)
Die Sippe Nörgel hat die erste Arbeitsteilung hinter sich gebracht und mehr Hüte produziert, als sie selbst braucht. Nörgel macht dadurch erste Erfahrungen im Austausch von Produkten u.a. auf dem Leipziger Markt, in deren Folge das Geld erfunden wird: Das Vieh gilt als allgemeiner Gegenwert, weil es von jedermann gebraucht wird. Aber Nörgel muss die Erfahrung machen, dass Vieh doch noch nicht das Richtige ist.
