Short Summary (English)

The film introduces three generations of a family of Russo-German citizens, several members relocate from their places of exile near the nothern polar circle to the homeland of their forefathers, the Suabian Highlands. Impressions of the north Siberian landscape are connected with the fates of so many extriates. Impressions of the old-new homeland Germany - the viewer is offered an emotional approach to the problems of the Russo-German citicens.

Der Film stellt drei Generationen einer Familie von Wolgadeutschen vor, von denen ein Teil aus ihrem Verbannungsort am nördlichen Polarkreis in die Heimat ihrer Vorväter, die schwäbische Alb, umgesiedelt ist. Impressionen von nordsibirischen Landschaften, die mit den Schicksalen so vieler Verbannter verbunden sind. Impressionen aus der alten neuen Heimat Deutschland - dem Zuschauer wird ein gefühlsmäßiger Zugang zu den Problemen Russlanddeutscher angeboten.
