Short Summary (German)
Der Dokumentarfilm dient der Vorbereitung auf die X. Weltfestspiele 1973 in Berlin. Anhand der Porträts einer Studentin, eines Sportlers und eines Arbeitskollektivs aus Kirchmöser wird ein Kollektivporträt des zwanzigjährigen DDR-Bürgers entworfen. Zudem sind ein Interview mit der US-amerikanischen Bürgerrechtlerin Angela Davis enthalten sowie Beiträge von FDJ-Freundschaftsbrigaden aus Kuba, Algerien, Finnland und Vietnam. Ergänzt wird der Film durch Aufnahmen vom deutsch-sowjetischen Jugendfestival 1972 in Leningrad.
