The Author
Thomas Beutelschmidt (born 1953) is a media historian and publicist. In the mid-1970s he began his studies in German language and literature, media studies, art history and political science, which he successfully finished in 1980. Since then he has worked as a media historian, freelance journalist, director and curator. As of 2014 he is an associate researcher at the ZZF Potsdam.
