Ein Videofilm in Erinnerung an Gespräche und Aufnahmen für "Probleme am laufenden Band" - Dokumentarfilm von 1987/88. Es geht um Befindlichkeiten Betroffener - damals und heute. Im November '87 und '88 waren es Probleme der Nestfertigung. Wie fanden sich die Arbeiter zurecht, die vorher am starren Band montiert hatten? War die Arbeit effektier, leichter geworden?

November 91. Ganz geringe Motorenstückzahlen kamen in diesem Jahr vom Band. Bedrückende Stille und Leere in der Montagehalle. Von über 3000 Beschäftigten verbleiben zum Jahresende 1991 nur noch 532 im Werk. Werden die Fachleute für Dieselmotoren im Harzvorland noch gebraucht?

A video film in remembrance of discussions and recordings for "Problems on the assembly line" - a documentary from 1987/88. It deals with the emotions of those affected - then and today. In 1987 and 1988, there were problems with the team production. How did the workers manage, those who had assembled at the rigid line? Did the work become more effective, easier? November 1991.

Notably low amounts of engines come from the line this year. Depressing silences and emptiness fill the assembly hall.

Out of the more than 3.000 people employed, only 532 remained active at the end of 1991. Will the specialists for diesel engines still be needed in the Harz foreland?
